Hello, I’m Don Weyant, Founder of MeditationLifeSkills.com. I created this site to help you sort through the many aspects of learning how to meditate.
Within this meditation app, you can explore the diverse methods of meditating and learn how to incorporate these principles into a consistent, effective, and meaningful daily meditation practice. You can also start with my meditation podcast and learn many effective meditation methods to enhance your meditation practice.
I started MeditationLifeSkills.com in 2021 as a website that focuses on learning how to meditate and addresses the wholeness of being human by incorporating personal development and spirituality.
MeditationLifeSkills.com strives to present meditation concepts that connect east and west, tradition and science, in a non-sectarian way, from multiple traditions, without promoting any particular technique or method. One important principle: I intend to take complex ideas about meditation and the not-so-well-understood principles of meditation and help you understand how they can fit into your life.
Before becoming a full-time content creator, I spent 27 years in the military (USAF). I was a certified Franklin Covey military/corporate trainer, workshop leader, and military trainer. I have taught meditation in one form or another for over 20 years and explored metaphysical/spiritual techniques for almost 30 years. You can see a partial list of courses and certifications below.
Meditation is a process of lightening up, trusting the basic goodness of what we have and who we are, and realizing that any existing wisdom exists in what we already have. We can lead our lives to become more awake to who we are and what we’re doing rather than trying to improve, change, or eliminate who we are or what we’re doing.
Through the years, I have tried almost every personal development program on the planet. The problem was that I believed the answer was outside of me. I wanted someone to fix me. What I discovered was that everything I needed was inside of me. Learning to meditate gives you balance and peace of mind in your day-to-day activities, making for a better and more focused life.
